BGSU Men's Golf Signs Two for 2004-05 Class

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's golf coach Garry Winger recently received letters-of-intent from Trevor Spathelf and Jace Walker as part of his 2004-05 recruiting class.
Walker is a native of St. Thomas, Ontario. He finished tied for seventh at the 2003 Ontario Junior Tournament of Champions with a three-round score of 228, finished tied for seventh at the All-Ontario High School Championships with a two-round score of 149, and was second at the Canadian Junior Golf Association tournament with a two-round score of 147.
Walker finished tied for 19th at the Toldo Group Eastern Canadian Junior conducted by the AJGA with a three-round score of 219. He also is a member of the St. Thomas Stars hockey team in the Junior "B" Hockey League, and was a teammate of current Falcon hockey player Mark Voakes last season.
Spathelf will graduate from Bowling Green High School this spring. He was the medalist in the Northern Lakes League tournament and finished in a tie for 18th in the state tournament at Ohio State's Scarlet Golf Course as a junior in 2003. Spathelf helped the Bowling Green High School team to the state tournament.
