FALCONS HIT THE ROAD AGAIN
The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team, 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the MAC, will play its 12th game away from home when it visits Marshall, 9-10 and 5-6 in the MAC. The Falcons will play four of its next five games on the road. BGSU closes the MAC season with three straight home games (Miami, Eastern Michigan, Toledo).
COMEBACK BID FALLS SHORT AGAINST KENT STATE
The Falcons nearly rallied from a 15-point first-half deficit pulling to within one point (60-59 with 5:12 remaining) before falling to MAC leader Kent State, 73-67, at Anderson Arena.
Sophomore John Reimold had the first double-double of his career with 18 points and a season-high 10 rebounds.
Freshman Ron Lewis had a Falcon season-best 12 rebounds and added nine points, four assists and three blocked shots.
Junior Kevin Netter had 17 points and made 11 of 12 free throws as the Falcons shot a season-high 93.8 from the free throw line (15/16).
Senior Cory Ryan had 14 points off the bench, including four three-point baskets.
The Falcons also tied their season-low when the committed just 11 turnovers.
This season, the Falcons have rallied from a 24-point deficit at Kent State, a 16-point disadvantage at Ohio and a nine-point deficit against Cleveland State, to post victories.
