Cleveland, Ohio - With the 2003 outdoor season underway, the Bowling Green State University track team was tabbed to finish tenth this season with 24 points. Ball State is projected to finish first with 76 points.
The league's head coaches favor Ball State Women to win the Outdoor Track and Field title. The Ball State women received 76 points for first place with four first place votes. Six women's ballots were returned.
Kent State came in a close second with 72 points after first place Ball State. Central Michigan takes third with 66 points.
Eastern Michigan received 61 points for fourth place. Western Michigan, with 51 points beat out Toledo with 45 for fifth place. Miami and Akron tied for seventh with 41 points and Buffalo earned 28 points for ninth place.
Rounding out the women's poll are Bowling Green (24), Ohio (23), Marshall (10), and Northern Illinois (8) to finish tenth, eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth respectively.
The Falcons will travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan to compete in the Western Michigan Invitational on March 29. The meet is set for 10:00 a.m.
