Falcons To Host Tournament April 12

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team is in the midst of its spring season, and the Falcons will host the 14th Annual Spring Fling on Saturday, April 12, at Anderson Arena. The eight-team tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. and feature five Mid-American Conference squads.

Joining the Falcons in the Orange pool for the round-robin portion of the tourney will be MAC foes Miami and Toledo, as well as IPFW. The Brown pool will consist of Ohio and Eastern Michigan out of the MAC, in addition to Cleveland State and Findlay.
The teams will play each of the other three teams in their pool, with matches consisting of two games to 30 points each. Then, the teams will be ranked by their pool standings for the crossover portion of the tourney, with the Orange pool first-place team facing the Brown pool first-place team, the second-place Orange team meeting the second-place team from the Brown division, etc.
The crossover matches will be a best-of-three format, with games one and two going to 30 points, and game three (if necessary) to 15 points.
