10 Questions with Ron Lewis
1. What is a typical summer day like for you as a member of the BGSU men's basketball program?
Morning workout, lift weights, class, open gym, personal workout, go home.
2. Do you hold down a summer job, and if so, what is it like?
Yes, I work at the driving range on the University golf course. It's okay, I'm either sitting around helping the customers or out on the range picking up golf balls.
3. Do you play in any type of league over the summer?
Yes, I play in the St. Cecelia League in Detroit.
4. What kind of classes are you taking right now?
One class, CS 101, the first class starting towards my major.
5. Have you gone to any movies this sumer, and if so, what would be your favorite--your least favorite?
My favorite was Matrix Reloaded, while my least favorite has been Phone Booth.
6. How hard are you and your teammates working to improve?
I tell my teammates to keep going hard, but I try to push myself because that's the only way I'll get better.
7. Do the players talk about specific team goals with each other?
We always talk about team goals and individual goals.
8. Has anyone stood out in your mind as far as improvement during the off-season?
Yes, Cory Eyink. He's improved a lot with finishing at the basket and and making good moves.
9. If a prospective recruit or his family were to ask you what was the one thing they needed to be prepared for to play Division I basketball, what would you tell them?
Hard work. You have to come to school prepared to work hard.
10. What professional sports team (NBA, NFL, or MLB) is you favorite and why?
My favorite team is the Orlando Magic. I love Tracy McGrady. He takes his team on his shoulders and doesn't have a problem with it.
