Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will make a national television appearance for the third straight year when it plays at Kent State, Saturday, February 14 on ESPN2. The game will tip-off at 4 p.m. BGSU appeared on national television when they played in the 2002 MAC Tournament Championship game and last year against Illinois-Chicago in the 2003 Bracket Buster.
"We are really excited to have an opportunity to play on national television for the third straight year," said BGSU Men's Basketball Coach Dan Dakich. "I think it is outstanding to see the two winningest programs in MAC play since 1999 showcased in front of the entire nation."
BGSU has won 56 league games (an average of more than 11 per season) since 1999, which is more than any other school currently competing in the MAC West Division, while Kent State (a member of the East Division) has won 66 MAC regular season games in that same span.
Last year, the Falcons rallied from a 24-point, second-half deficit to post a 78-74 victory at Kent State.
