Popovich Named MAC Gymnast Of The Week, Again

CLEVELAND, Ohio - After being awarded MAC Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 19 for posting a career-high all-around score of 39.225, Popovich one-upped herself by posting a new personal-best all-around score of 39.275. Popovich led the Falcons in all four events, including the uneven bars where she posted a 9.900, good for first-place honors and the second-best mark in school history. She also placed second on the vault and floor with scores of 9.750 and 9.850, respectively. She also placed third on the beam with a 9.775.

Popovich now owns several BGSU records. With a 39.275 in the all-around and 9.900 on bars (both established this weekend) ranks second all-time in BGSU history. She owns the eighth-best mark on the vault with a 9.750 and third-best score on beam with a 9.825.

Popovich and the Falcons return home this weekend (Jan. 31) to face North Carolina at the Eppler Complex. The meet is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
