Richter Named Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's basketball coach Dan Dakich has announced that Marty Richter has been named assistant coach for the Falcons. He spent last season as an administrative assistant with the program.
"Marty is a tremendous worker and is very deserving of this opportunity," said Dakich.
He spent the previous two years as a graduate assistant coach at The University of South Dakota. He helped the Coyotes have two consecutive 19 win seasons. He was an assistant coach at Simpson College for two years (1999-2001).
He played for Simpson College from 1995-99 when the team rolled up an 80-23 record. He started his junior and senior years. In his junior year, he helped lead his team to a 22-3 record, claiming the conference championship. He helped Simpson to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 1996.
He earned a degree in physical education from Simpson College and a master's degree in athletic administration from The University of South Dakota.
He has worked several summer camps including those at Iowa, Kansas and Creighton.
