The Falcons and the Bobcats will meet for the 56th time, with BGSU holding a 32-21-2 advantage in the series.
BGSU also has won three straight games in the last three years when it has been a guest for Homecoming (WMU and CMU, twice).
BGSU has won the last two meetings with Ohio, 72-21, in 2002 at home and 17-0 in 2001 at Peden Stadium.
Prior to last season, these two teams met 52 consecutive years from 1951-2002.
The Falcons have scored 25 non-offensive points in the first six games and have allowed a league-low two sacks this season.
Senior Keon Newson was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career after the Oklahoma game and junior Charles Sharon was honored as the division's Special Teams honoree after the SEMO game for the second time in his career. Sophomore Omar Jacobs was named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week following the CMU game.
Sophomore quarterback Omar Jacobs, who is in his first year as the Falcons' starting signal caller, is second in the nation in total offense (341.3), in points responsible for (21.0) and sixth in passing efficiency (166.9). All three totals are the highest for any sophomore quarterback in the country.
Junior B.J. Lane leads the MAC and is third in the country in kickoff returns averaging 33.6 yards per return with one TD. For his 93-yard TD return against Ball State, he was named MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Falcons are the top team in the MAC converting on 52.6 % of its third down opportunities. BGSU also is the top net punting unit at 37.4 yards per kick.
BGSU leads the MAC averaging 41.5 points per game and is third in the league in scoring defense allowing just 21.2 points per game. BGSU also has allowed a league-low four TD passes.
Senior Cole Magner needs 23 receiving yards and junior P.J. Pope needs 38 rushing yards to eclipse the 2,000 yard mark in a career in both categories. Both Magner (2,800) and Pope (2,740) will be looking to become the ninth and 10th players respectively to accumulate 3,000 all-purpose yards in their career at BGSU. Sophomore Omar Jacobs' 18 TD passes are the fifth-highest single season total at BGSU. He needs 10 throwing scores in the final five games to break Josh Harris' single-season school record of 27 set last year.
