Omaha, Nebraska - Bowling Green bounced back from a 4-2 loss on Friday to Nebraska-Omaha with a 6-4 victory on Saturday against the Mavericks. The Falcons put five power-play goals on the board and finished 5-for-8 with the extra man.
"We were good in all facets of the power play," said BGSU Coach Scott Paluch. "We moved the puck real well. It was a combination of getting pucks to the net and retrieving them. We knew we just had to pick up all facets of our game tonight. We moved our feet well and we were rewarded for it."
The Falcons jumped out to a 1-0 lead when freshman Jonathan Matsumoto netted his team-leading fifth goal of the year at 6:00 of the first period. Don Morrison and Brett Pilkington assisted on the first of five Falcon power-play goals.
