Falcons Have Up-and-Down First Day at Penn State Fall Classic

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Bowling Green State University tennis team had an up-and-down first day at the Penn State Fall Classic Friday (Nov. 12). The Falcons opened day one of the classic, which is the final event of the fall schedule, with a sweep of the University of Akron, but losses to the host Lady Lions.
BGSU singles competitors went 7-8 overall on the day, with a perfect 7-0 record against the Zips, but an 0-8 mark vs. the host school. BGSU won six of the seven matches vs. Akron in straight sets.
In doubles play, BGSU teams went 3-0 vs. the Zips.
The tournament concludes with second-day action Saturday (Nov. 13), beginning at 9:00 a.m.
