Twite Named MAC Honorable Mention

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green State University senior volleyball player Taylor Twite has been named to the All-MAC Honorable Mention Team for the second straight year, announced by the conference office this afternoon. This season the middle-hitter is averaging 3.69 kills and .99 blocks per game, as well as hitting .296 in her final season with the Falcons.
Twite has been an offensive force for the Falcons this season. She just recently posted a season-high 22 kills versus Akron in the opening round of the MAC Tournament on Tuesday. Twite was also named MAC West Player of the Week on October 11, after posting 22 and 19 kills in wins over Northern Illinois and Toledo. She is also currently working on a streak of seven straight 10+ kill performances.
At this current time she has 942 career kills, which ranks 13th in school history. She also ranks sixth in the BGSU record books with a .278 hitting percentage for her career.
The Lapeer, Michigan, native owns a career-high 26 kills, hit a blistering .636 (22-1-33) in a win over Portland in `03, and has a career-high nine total blocks versus Bradley in 2003 and Marshall this season.
