Three Falcons Earn Academic All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference today released its 2004 Academic All-MAC Volleyball Team, and three BGSU volleyball players were named to the squad. The league's faculty athletic representatives named Emily Manser, Melissa Mohr and Taylor Twite to the All-MAC Team.
Manser, a native of Westerville, Ohio, continues to pill on the academic awards, as just last week she became only the fourth Falcon in school history to be named to the Academic All-District First-Team. Manser is currently majoring in communication disorders and maintains a perfect 4.00 grade-point average.
Mohr, a native of Millersburg, Ohio, maintains a 3.82 GPA and is majoring in interior design. She has also been named to the MAC Honor role the past two seasons.
Twite is the third Falcon to garner the award. The middle-hitter is majoring in middle childhood education and owns a 3.72 GPA.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50% of the contests for that particular sport. First year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award. Outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments from the current season only are considered.
