Lichtensteiger, Jacobs and Grubb Earn Post-Season Honors

Bowling Green, Ohio - Three members of the Bowling Green State University football team earned post-season honors this week.
Left guard Kory Lichtensteiger was named first-team Freshman All-American by Collegefootballnews.com. A second team All-MAC pick, Lichtensteiger was part of a unit which allowed a MAC low 11 sacks and ranked among the national leaders in total offense, scoring and passing. In addition, the Falcons were second in the MAC at 4.7 yards per carry.
Another key member of the offensive line, senior right guard Andy Grubb, who started all 11 games was named Academic All-MAC. An exercise specialist major, he holds a 3.45 GPA.
Sophomore quarterback Omar Jacobs was named honorable mention All-American by Collegefootballnews.com. The MAC Offensive Player of the Year leads the nation in TD passes with 36 and is second in total offense. He needs one TD passing or rushing to set a new MAC record for total TDs responsible for with 41. He passed for 3,637 yards this season.
