Detroit Coach Perry Watson
"I'm proud of the way we fought."
"Reimold was pretty darn good and really shot the ball well. They do a good job getting him open and if they are allowed to move a hip, they'll do what they need to do to get him open."
Getting into a 13-point deficit...
"We started the second half with bad turnovers and they made us pay for them."
BGSU Coach Dan Dakich
"I thought the key to the game was our start to the second half. We were able to take a two-point lead, which is essentially a tie game since they had the ball and we got it out to a seven or ten-point game fairly quickly."
"I thought our team was tough. Reimold was exceptional."
"I thought the biggest play of the game for us late was John Floyd coming down the lane getting a layup making it a nine- point game. We weren't scoring and they were taking time to score. So any points we cold put on the board were big."
"Mawel (Soler) gave us a great game. He competed on the defensive backboard and he got to the foul line. Mawel guarded and kind of keyed our defense a little bit. I thought he was exceptional. This was obviously his best game."
"Floyd set three really good screens that freed up John. If you set good screens generally someone is going to get open. ...and that is what our offense is supposed to do."
"Detroit is a great program, with a great coach, with a lot of prideful players. Being from Detroit and representing Detroit we knew this would be an incredibly tough game for us. Fortunately we got hot at the right time and it held up."
"This was a big deal for us quite frankly."
