The Wolverines are ranked #4 in both the USCHO.com/CSTV poll and USAToday/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

BGSU vs. Michigan
The Falcons trail the all-time series against UM, 30-63-3, and are 14-37-0 at Yost Ice Arena. The series at the BGSU Ice Arena is 22-16-3, advantage Wolverines. UM has won the last four meetings by the combined score of 19-9 and are 8-1-1 in the last 10 meetings. The last win for BGSU over Michigan was Jan. 25, 2002, by the score of 4-2 at Yost. JR Brett Pilkington has 2-1--3 in six career games and SR Ryan Minnabarriet has 0-3--3 in eight career games. SR Jordan Sigalet has a 3.95 gaa. and .908 save pct. in four career games vs. Michigan.
#4/#4 Michigan Wolverines
Michigan has won six of its last eight, including a two-game sweep of Notre Dame last weekend by the combined score of 14-1. SO T.J. Hensick leads UM in points with 19 (8g, 11a) while JR Jeff Tambellini is second with 18 (8g, 10a). JR goalie Al Montoya has a 2.41 gaa. and .901 save pct. in 16 games this year. Head Coach Red Berenson is in his 21st season in Ann Arbor and moved into sole possession of ninth place on the college coaching wins list with 544 victories last weekend.
Falcons Racking Up the "W"s
This marks the fastest time BGSU has recorded eight victories since 1995 when the Falcons were 8-1-1 by Nov. 17. BGSU also picked up its seventh victory before the month of December for the first time since 1996.
Sigalet's Saves Adding Up...
Jordan Sigalet has faced the fourth-most shots of any goalie in Division I (428) in 740:46 minutes of action and still has registered a save pct. of .928, 10th best in the country (397 saves). That is why he is the all-time career save pct. leader at BGSU at .916 in 83 career games.
Jordan Paves the Way in 2-1 Victory at MSU
SR Jordan Sigalet stopped 46 of 47 shots faced, including a penalty shot by All-American Jim Slater, to help the Falcons to its first road win vs. Michigan State since Dec. 7, 1997. He stopped 19 of 20 shots in the crucial third period, alone, to secure the win. He helped stop six of MSU's seven power plays, including a 5-on-3 in the final period. The lone goal he allowed was a power-play tally by Slater. It was the seventh opponent this year that Sigalet has held to two goals or less and the fifth time this year he has held an opponent to just one goal.
Pilkington Tallies Career-High Four Assists
JR Brett Pilkington recorded a career-high four assists, contributing on all four goals BGSU scored in a 6-4 loss to Michigan State on Dec. 4. The four helpers give him a team-high nine assists in 10 games this season. He registered 11 assists in 36 games all of last season.
Falcons Are Road Warriors
BGSU boasts the best road record in the CCHA with its 5-1-1 mark. In fact, the Falcons are one of just two teams above .500 in the CCHA on the road. The other is Ohio State (4-2-1). BGSU surpassed its four road victories from ALL OF LAST YEAR with its 2-1 victory at Munn Ice Arena on Dec. 3. The victory also was the first win on the road against Michigan State since Dec. 7, 1997, a span which saw the Falcons lose seven-straight as the road team. BGSU remains the only visiting team to have beaten Nebraska-Omaha at the Qwest Center this year (6-1-1) and also handed Alaska Fairbanks its first home CCHA loss at the Carlson Center last season when it defeated the Nanooks, 6-2, on Jan. 23, 2004.
