Shireen Saski will be the rink-side reporter. This is the third-straight year FSN Detroit has televised a game from the "Ice House."
BGSU vs. Northern Michigan
BGSU hosts Northern Michigan for the final regular-season series of the year at the BGSU Ice Arena (Feb. 27-28). BGSU leads the all-time series 29-22-5, including 16-8-1 on home ice. NMU took the season-opening series from the Falcons back on Oct. 10-11 in Marquette, winning game one (2-1) and taking game two (6-3). Four different Falcons netted goals in the two-game series while JR Ryan Minnabarriet had two assists. NMU holds a 5-4-1 edge in the last 10 meetings.
"Minny" Playing Large
JR Ryan Minnabarriet has scored a point in eight of his last 10 games (3-6--9), giving him 5-12--17 for the season. His 12 assists this year are just one off his two-year total from his freshman and sophomore years (13) combined.
McConvey Moving In on 100
SR D'Arcy McConvey's assist on Kevin Bieksa's goal Saturday night brought him to within two points of the 100-point plateau for his career. He now has 29-69--98 in 148 career games. The last Falcon to record 100 career points was Greg Day from 1998-2002 (60-74--134) in 154 games.
Siggy Getting Closer to Record, Leads Nation
JR Jordan Sigalet moved back into the lead nationally this weekend with his 1,976:54 minutes played. He still leads the nation in saves with 997 stops. With three more he will become just the fourth Falcon ever to record 1,000 or more saves in a season and he is now 90 saves away from the single-season record set by Tyler Masters in 2000-01 (1,087).
