Kristin DiPietro: BGSU Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Kristin DiPietro is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. DiPietro, a junior on the BGSU gymnastics team, helped the Falcons to a big win over the weekend.

DiPietro, a native of Columbus, Ohio (St. Francis DeSales HS), finished third in the all-around as the Falcons defeated North Carolina, 195.125-194.425. She had an all-around score of 38.850, a career best, and led all Falcons with her 9.825 score on the beam in the win.

BGSU's team score in the UNC meet was the Falcons' highest in two years. The Falcons are now 2-1 on the young season (1-0 in the MAC), heading into a Friday (Feb. 6) Mid-American Conference contest at Ball State.

DiPietro, majoring in apparel merchandising and product development, maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.16.
