BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Junior Taylor Twite took home three awards Sunday afternoon at the 2003 Bowling Green State University volleyball banquet. Twite earned Player of the Year, Competitor's Award and Offensive Player of the Year.
Twite led the team with 460 kills and 3.83 kills per game. She also had a team-leading 1,059 attacks and a .297 hitting percentage. The Lapeer, Mich., native had a career-high 22 kills versus Portland and was named to the Boise State Invitational and BGSU Invitational All-Tournament team.
Senior Susie Norris earned Co-Defensive Player of the Year with freshman Chrissy Gothke. Norris averaged 2.66 kills per game and 3.80 digs per game. Gothke set a school-record 497 digs.
