Behind senior Jenny Schnipke's first round of 74, Bowling Green sits in fifth-place after day one of the 2004 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Tournament. The Falcons fired a team score of 321, which is their second-best ever opening round score.
The three-day, three-round tournament is being held in Indian Springs, Ohio, with Western Michigan holding a five-shot lead over five-time defending champion Kent State.
Schnipke is fifth overall with her score of 74. Other Falcons competing are senior Kari Evans (T-20th, 81), freshman Kari Liggett (T-20th, 81), senior Julie Wise (T-34th, 85), and sophomore Amanda Schroeder (T-41st, 88).
