Senior Jenny Schnipke shot a second-round score of 74, matching her first round score, and is in second place at the 2004 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships. Her two-round score of 148 is eight strokes back of leader Gabby Wedding of Kent State (140).
As a team, the Falcons are tied for seventh place with Eastern Michigan with a two-round score of 659. Kent State leads after two days with a score of 602. The third and final round of the MAC Championships will be played on Sunday at Waldon Ponds Golf Course with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
Schnipke's best finish at the MAC Tournament is sixth in 2001 (229) and tied for sixth in 2002 (236). Last season she ended tied for 26th.
Other Falcons competing include freshman Kari Liggett (T-23rd, 162), senior Julie Wise (T-39th, 174), senior Kari Evans (T-41st, 175), and sophomore Amanda Schroeder (44th, 182).
