Bowling Green, Ohio - Three members of the Bowling Green State University women's golf team have been recognized by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) as Academic All-Americans. Those student-athletes are senior Kari Evans (Louisville, Ky.), senior Jenny Schnipke (Kalida, Ohio), and sophomore Amanda Schroeder (Kalida, Ohio).
There were 318 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 (3.40 for Seniors in Division II and III) and student-athletes must have competed in at least 66% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the 2003-04 season. Freshmen are not eligible.
It marks the third time for Schnipke and second time for Evans to be named NGCA Academic All-Americans.
