BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Hurricane Frances may have ended the Miami Invitational before it even began, but it won't stop the Bowling Green State University volleyball team from still competing this weekend. Squaring off with the Falcons in the NU Labor Day Invite will be #4 Florida on Saturday at 3:00 p.m., followed by Sunday matches with the host school Northwestern at 10:00 a.m. and IPFW at 5:00 p.m. Florida finished the 2003 season at 36-2, with both losses coming at the hands of USC, including a 3-1 loss in the championship match last December. Northwestern ended 2003 at 18-15, but also earned an NCAA appearance versus Washington, falling in three sets. IPFW is coming off a 20-11 season and return five of their six starters, the same team that defeated BGSU last season in four sets. Following the trip to Evanston, Illinois, the Falcons return home for their 2004 home opener with Cleveland State on September 8, at 7:00 p.m.
