Cleveland, Ohio - Bowling Green State University senior forward John Reimold was named MAC West Division Co-Player of the Week after leading the Falcons to victories over Marshall and Northern Illinois.
Reimold, who is sixth in the MAC in scoring (16.5), second in field goal percentage (58.7%) and first in three-point field goal percentage (51.6%), averaged 21.5 points in two games and shot 63.6% from the field (14/22) and 64.3% from long distance (9/14). He also had an offensive rebound and assist with 50 seconds left against Marshall to propel BGSU to the road victory. This is the second time in his career that he has earned the award. He also was named on December 30, 2002.
Against Marshall, Reimold surpassed the 1,000-point mark in his career at BGSU and now has scored 1,024 points.
He is the second Falcon to be honored this season. Senior Josh Almanson earned the award, December 1.
Reimold shared the honor with Western Michigan's Ben Reed and Kent State's Kevin Warzynski was named the East Division recipient.
