Elste Earns MAC Specialist Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green State University gymnast Kari Elste was awarded the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week for her help in defeating Ball State 193.000-191.750. The senior captured first-place on the bars with a 9.800 in her only event in the win over the Cardinals.
The Wheaton, Illinois, native posted a 9.825 on the bars the week prior in the season-opener versus Kentucky, and owns a career-high 9.875 on the bars.
Elste and the Falcons return to action this Sunday as they travel to Mount Pleasant, Michigan, for a 2:00 p.m. showdown with Central Michigan.
