Huntington, W.V. - The Falcons lead the series 30-23 and have won three of the last six meetings in Huntington.
BGSU improved to 3-2 on the road this season and already have bettered their 2003-04 road win total of 2.
BGSU, Miami and Western Michigan are the only teams to have 2-0 records in the MAC.
Over the last three-plus years, BGSU is 15-3 when it had to play defense with a one-or-two point lead in the final minute of a game. BGSU outscored Marshall 9-4 in the final 50 seconds to break a 60-60 tie.
BGSU rallied an 18-10 deficit with 12:47 remaining in the first half and trailed 46-42 with under 12 minutes to play.
The Falcons buried a season-high 10 three-point field goals and had a season-high eight blocked shots.
Senior John Reimold finished with a game-high 22 points and became the 33rd player in BGSU history to score 1,000 points or more with the Falcons. His stretch of nine points from the 10:30 mark to the 6:07 mark rallied BGSU and gave him the milestone. He also had the game-winning assist with 50 seconds left and made two free throws in the final seconds to seal the game. He has scored 1,003 points with BGSU.
Senior Josh Almanson had 17 points and tied his career-high with four blocked shots (vs. Illinois State in 2000). He also had seven rebounds and four assists.
Senior Cory Eyink had a season-high 14 points off the bench and nailed four triples, which ties his career best set last year at Kent State. He also added four boards, three assists and two steals.
Junior Mawel Soler had five points off the bench and has not missed a field goal attempts in nine chances this season.
Junior Germain Fitch's only basket of the game, with 50 seconds left, put BGSU up for good. He also added five rebounds.
