Recap | Final Stats | Notes
NIU Coach Rob Judson
"Too much R & A. Not rebounding and assists but Reimold and Almanson. They're as good as anybody in the league and they pulled their team through today. Both of them just made some daggers on us as the shot clock was winding down. Bowling Green does an excellent job of keeping their poise and getting a good look at the basket as the shot clock winds down and I thought that was a big difference in the game."
"They got to the free throw line and made all of their free throws (15-15)."
"I thought there were three possessions in the second half where we attacked the basket, there was contact, no foul was called and Bowling Green turned that into a basket everytime and that allowed them to keep their margin."
"Possessions are so key when you're playing this group"
BGSU Coach Dan Dakich
"I kind of said before the game that this team (NIU)mirrors us. They lost some guys from last year that were supposed to be the greatest that weren't and we did too and this was just a hard-fought game. I've seen them comeback against (Texas A&M) Corpus-Christi and two others. I thought we lost a little bit of our concentration once we got up 18 but up until that point I felt that a lot of good things were happening because of hustle and determination. And then down the stretch Reimold and Almanson knowing how much time on the shot clock was important."
"I thought that Northern played really hard and really determined and that is the way they've been playing all year."
"He (Mawel Soler) stirs it up, offensive rebounds, whatever. I'm glad to see him hit a three...you have to understand that Mawel has been in the gym all the time working on his shooting."
"I thought overall he (Soler) played like he did at Marshall with a lot of energy. It is really nice to have opposed to last year me picking people up, this year he is picking everybody up as does Moon Robinson. They are two fun guys to have on the team."
