Quotes From BGSU Coach Dan Dakich following the squad's scrimmage
"I think our effort is pretty reflective (of the first week of practice). Guys go really hard, they don't mind passing it to each other and they've all tried to help each other through the first week here, so I think it has been a pretty good week."
"I think for the most part, they looked pretty good."
"He (Erik Marschall) gets frustrated, as big kids do, because guys are moving and are trying to screen and in our offense, guys don't know where to go and you're just screening and it gets frustrating. But I think as the game wore on, he got much more comfortable and showed a little bit of what I think he's capable of doing. He's capable of doing a lot. So as the team continues to grow, he'll get more and more things done and become less and less frustrated."
"Martin (Samarco) is a confident guy. Martin hasn't made a shot in practice for the last few days, but he has been in here working on it crazy hard. He's a seasoned kid and he is a guy that has a great deal of confidence. And, quite frankly, in a short time I have a lot of confidence in him because of how much he is in the gym."
"He's (Samarco) a strong kid, a tough kid and he wants to be good. And he ís great with the enthusiasm and the energy. When everybody else is dropping at the end of practice, he's still way up."
On the team's health
"Dusan (Radivojevic) hurt himself yesterday in practice, he strained a calf muscle. Steve is probably two weeks away from being completely healed to where we can get him rehabbing and Pat Phillips is out with a staph infection."
