EAST DIVISION
Offensive Player of the Week
Brett Biggs, running back, Akron (Sr., Bartow, Fla./Bartow)
Biggs rushed for a season-high 188 yards in the Zips 27-3 win over Ohio that kept the team's hopes for an East Division title alive. Biggs averaged 6.7 ypc on 28 carries and added two touchdowns. His 188 yards is the sixth highest I-A total in school history and he lost just five yards in the game. His 31-yard rush on the third play of the game sparked a touchdown drive covering 93 yards and 14 plays.
Offensive Player of the Week
Brad Williams, defensive line, Bowling Green(Jr., Middletown, Ohio/Lakota East)
Williams led a defensive effort that set a school-record by allowing -64 yards rushing in a 42-14 win at Miami that put the Falcons one game away from winning the division title. Williams had seven tackles (4 solo), two sacks, three QB hurries and a forced fumble. The BG defense held the RedHawks to 78 positive yards rushing with much of the negative yardage came in the kicking game. Miami's Brandon Murphy, one of the league's top rushers, was held to 31 yards.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Charles Sharon, Bowling Green, kickoff returns (Sr., Palatka, Fla./Palatka)
Sharon had two kickoff returns for 75 yards, including a career-long 58-yard effort at Miami. In addition, he caught seven passes for 71 yards as a wide receiver.

WEST DIVISION
Offensive Player of the Week
Garrett Wolfe, tailback, Northern Illinois (Jr., Chicago, Ill./River Grove Holy Cross)
Wolfe returned to form after missing three games due to injury and produced a game-high 220 all-purpose yards against the league's No. 1 ranked defense in a 35-17 win at Toledo. Wolfe rushed for 177 yards and two TDs on 29 carries and caught three passes for 43 yards. His three-yard scoring run put the Huskies ahead for good in the third quarter and he tacked on an insurance score via a 64-yard scamper in the final stanza.
Defensive Player of the Week
Dustin Utschig, free safety, Northern Illinois (Jr., Winneconne, Wi./Fox Valley Lutheran)
Utschig had two interceptions and 50 return yards as well as a team-high 15 tackles in a win at Toledo and the Huskies snapped an 11-game losing streak at Toledo. He set up the go ahead TD in the third quarter with an interception and a 50-yard return to the UT 30-yard line. The win puts NIU to win its first trip to the MAC Championship game with a win this week.
Daniel Bazuin, defensive end, Central Michigan Jr., McBain, Mich./McBain)
Bazuin was credited with 5.5 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks at Ball State in a 31-24 overtime win. The victory enable CMU to finish with a winning record (6-5) for the first time since 1998. Bazuin's sacks all came in key down-and-distance situations: fourth-and-11; third-and-six; third-and-10, and second-and-six.
Special Teams Player of the Week
Ryan Strehl, defensive back, Central Michigan (So., Mattawan, Mich.)
Strehl returned a blocked punt 32 yards for a go ahead TD with 1:51 left in regulation at Ball State. Strehl scooped a Justin Gardner block to put CMU in front 24-21. The Chippewas won in overtime 31-24.
Additional Nominees --- West Division
Offense: Justin Harper, wide receiver, Central Michigan (had eight receptions for 110 yards and the game-winning TD in overtime in a win at Ball State. He also had a key block on a third-quarter CMU touchdown); Eric Deslauriers, wide receiver, Eastern Michigan (had two TD receptions at Buffalo to establish a school record with 22 career scoring receptions); Trinity Dawson, running back, Toledo (rushed for 104 yards on 24 carries vs. Northern Illinois).
Defense: Rontrell Woodruff, strong safety, Eastern Michigan (10 tackles and an interception return for 21 yards at Buffalo); Keon Jackson, safety, Toledo (made an interception in addition to his nine tackles with two tackles for a loss and a sack vs. Northern Illinois).
Special Teams: Andrew Wellock, placekicker, Eastern Michigan (tied a school record with a 52-yard field goal in a 38-14 win at Buffalo).
Additional Nominees --- East Division
Offense: None.
Defense: Jay Rohr, linebacker, Akron (had a team-high seven tackles, all solo, two tackles for a loss and a pass break up vs. Ohio).
Special Teams: None.
