Volleyball Set for a Pair of Matches This Weekend

The Falcons dive back into MAC play this weekend with two home matches scheduled. Friday night brings a match against Kent State, followed by a Saturday afternoon showdown with nationally-ranked Ohio. Friday's match will begin at 7 PM, with the Ohio match beginning at 4 PM.
The Golden Flashes (9-17) bring a 4-10 conference record to Anderson Arena. Danielle Holt's 4.61 kills per game paces Kent State.
Defending MAC champs and 20th-ranked Ohio lead the nation in kills (17.92) and assists (16.69) per game.

Oakland Review
The Falcons earned a non-conference `W' over Oakland University Nov. 8th, sweeping the Grizzlies 3-0 (30-24, 30-23, 30-21). Junior Chrissy Gothke hit .500 with a team-high 10 kills. Gothke also closed the door for the Falcons with four service aces during the last six points of the third game clincher.
Miami Downed by Falcons
Bowling Green defeated the RedHawks on the road Nov.3 in four games (30-23, 25-30, 30-28, 30-23). Junior Chrissy Gothke played a dual role as setter and outside hitter once again, adding her seventh triple double of the season with 10 kills, 50 assists and 12 digs. Senior Emily Manser was all over the court defensively, matching her career-high 24 digs. Freshman Chelsey Meek chipped in with 20 digs also.
