Schultz and Yee Record Top Five Finishes, Falcons Earn Seventh

COLUMBUS, Ohio - After three days at the Peppe Aquatic Center on the campus of the Ohio State University, the swimming and diving Falcons earned a final ranking of seventh place at the Ohio State Swimming and Diving Invitational.
Minnesota placed first with Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan and Illinois rounding the top five. Iowa narrowly edged the Falcons for sixth place. Miami, Purdue, Arizona State and Florida placed eight through eleven.
In the final day of competition, the Orange and Brown finished with two swimmers earning spots in the top five of their individual events. Senior Dana Schultz earned the highest BGSU finish with her fourth place finish in the 200 Fly. Caroline Keating and Kim Albin also scored in the sprint event. Keating also scored in the 1650 Free.
Alisha Yee rounded out the top five in the 200 Back with a time of 2:04.74 while Stephanie Buckner earned points with her 52.30 finish in the 100 Free.
In relay action, the Falcons scored with their ninth and twelfth place finishes.
Bowling Green will take a holiday break and will not return to the pool until 2006 when they travel to Coral Springs, Florida on Jan. 3. The Falcons will battle in-state challenger Xavier University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
