BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - John Floyd hit a basket and a free throw to start the second half and keyed a 9-0 spurt that put Bowling Green ahead for good as the Falcons beat Ohio 78-63 Monday.
John Reimold followed Floyd's three-point play with a 3-pointer, and Floyd hit a 3-pointer as Bowling Green pulled away in the second half after trailing 28-26 at halftime.
Floyd, Reimold and Josh Almanson all had 16 points for Bowling Green (13-6, 7-4 Mid-American Conference). Almanson was a perfect 7-of-7 from the field, including 2-of-2 3-pointers, and the Falcons were 19-of-20 from the line.
Mychal Green had 18 points for Ohio (12-8, 7-5). Jeremy Fears added 15 and Sonny Troutman 12.
Scott Vandermeer tied a Bowling Green record with seven blocked shots, equaling a mark Skip Howard set in 1973.
