This season marks the first time since 1993-94 that the Falcons have garnered the top seed in the league's postseason tournament. It is also the sixth time in 24 MAC tournaments that BGSU has landed as the No. 1 seed. Bowling Green completed the regular season schedule with a 20-7 overall record and a 13-3 conference mark, copping the program's sixth MAC Championship - the first since the 1993-94 campaign - and the school's first-ever West Division title.
Kent State (19-8, 12-4) and Marshall (18-9, 12-4) shared the East Division crown and earned the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds, respectively, in the tournament. Eastern Michigan, the No. 4 seed, is the defending MAC Tournament champion.
The semifinals and the championship game will be televised on Fox Sports Net Ohio, Comcast Local (Michigan) and Comcast SportsNet Chicago.
Tickets for games at Gund Arena are available and may be obtained by contacting Ticketmaster at (216) 241-2121, ordering them online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling a MAC school's ticket office for tickets in that team's section. BGSU's ticket office toll-free number is 1-877-BGSUTICKET.
