Three Falcon Hockey Players Sign Pro Contracts

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University hockey players Steve Brudzewski (Dearborn, Mich.), Ryan Minnabarriet (Ashcroft, B.C.), and Chris Pedota (Westbury, N.Y.) were recently signed to minor-league hockey contracts. The three players recently completed their senior seasons for the Falcons, helping lead BGSU to its best season in a decade.
The Dayton Bombers of the East Coast Hockey League on March 19 signed forward Steve Brudzewski and defenseman Chris Pedota to ECHL contracts. Terms of the deals were not disclosed per team policy. The Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League on March 18 signed forward Ryan Minnabarriet.
Brudzewski recorded 8 goals, 4 assists and 12 points in 31 games with Bowling Green this season. The 5-foot-8, 190 pound forward completed his senior season with 35 goals, 26 assists and 61 points in 140 career games with the Falcons. He will wear jersey number 25 with the Bombers.
Minnabarriet ended his senior season with 6 goals, 17 assists and 23 points in 36 games. His 17 assists and 23 points were career-highs for the British Columbia native. He was a team tri-captain this past season and ended his career with 24-44--68 in 143 career games.
Pedota recorded 1 goal, 3 assists and 4 points in 16 games with BGSU this season. The 5-foot-11, 209 pound defenseman also completed his senior season with the Falcons, and registered 1 goal, 12 assists and 13 points in 52 career games at Bowling Green. He will wear number 3 with the Bombers.
