Dan Dakich on Cory Eyink...
"Cory has really sacrificed himself this year. Cory started the first basketball game and I told him that I wanted him to come off the bench and I told him he would be a leader and what an absolutely unbelievable year he has had. You could not hire, I guarantee you, a better individual, a smarter kid or a better person to hire than Cory in your company or business."
Cory Eyink"I just want to thank everybody...all of the fans. Band, cheerleaders, you have all been great. You know, my four years have been awesome. Next, I want to thank all of my teammates...you guys are like family. I'm going to miss you guys all so much. Next, I want to thank Coach Stone, Coach Richter, Coach P and Coach Court, you guys are the greatest. I can come talk to you guys about anything, you're always there to pick me up. Coach Dakich and I have been through a lot. I don't have words to express how much I thank Coach for everything he has done for me in my four years here. There isn't another coach in the country that I would rather play for...I mean it Coach, I love you just like my second dad...thank you."
Dan Dakich on John Reimold...
"I have been in basketball for 24 years...I have never in my time coached, played with or watched a tougher competitor than John Reimold. I think John Reimold is the toughest guy that I've ever been with. On a daily basis, John Reimold comes to practice, plays hard, tries to do everything he can do and on top of that, he'll be graduating to be a teacher once his professional basketball career is over."
"I want to thank everybody. Everybody is here, everybody that has supported our team. Since I've been here, you've been great and I could not have asked for better fans. Iím sorry for what happened out here today. I want to thank my teammates, you are the best. There is no one that I would rather play with, you're my best friends.
"Coaches, you guys have been great. I wouldn't want to play anywhere else...that is why I came here. I loved it here but like I said, the season isn't over so I'm not going to stand out here and get all sappy... I love you guys, you're the best coaches in the world."
Dan Dakich on Josh Almanson...
"The saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child." If that is the case, then this is a heck of a village here at Bowling Green with Josh Almanson. Josh Almanson, since the first day he got here, has done one thing and that is try to get better. ...I think Josh has turned himself into the best big-man in the conference this year. I think Josh has turned himself into as good a basketball player as there is in our league and that is through one thing and one thing only - two things really. One thing being that he is a great guy and the second thing is by really, really working hard."
"I would just like to thank all the fans here that have supported me over the past five years. It has just been great to play here in this building. It has been a great year and a great atmosphere in here. To my teammates, you guys have been great this year. For the new guys coming in and not really know exactly what to expect, working hard everyday. For everybody else from last year the improvements that we made this year...it has been wonderful. I want to thank Coach Dakich especially for making winning a special thing here at Anderson Arena. Anytime you win a game here, players know, it is the best feeling walking in that tunnel knowing that you just won. Coach Dakich, I want to thank you so much for making that such a special thing and I couldn't imagine playing anywhere else."
