Andy Hudak Named MAC West Player of the Week for Second Time

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference today announced its East and West Division Players and Pitchers of the Week for the week ending April 25. Each week, the MAC will honor both an East and a West Division Player and Pitcher of the Week.
Senior Andy Hudak (Toledo, Ohio) was named MAC West Co-Player of the Week, sharing honors with Central Michigan's Kurtis Wells. It marks the second time this month he has been honored by the league. In two games last week, Hudak went 5-for-7 (.714) with three home runs, six RBIs and four runs scored. The senior went 3-for-3 with three homers, three walks, four runs scored and five RBIs against IPFW. Hudak then went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in a win over Dayton. He finished the week with a 2.000 slugging percentage and an .800 on-base percentage.
Hudak leads the MAC with his .381 batting avg., while he is T-1st with 39 RBIs, second with a .468 on-base pct., third with 51 hits, and T-5th with seven home runs.
BGSU (23-11 overall, 7-5 MAC West) is scheduled to host Xavier on Wednesday, April 27, at 3 p.m. if field conditions are suitable at Warren Steller Field.
