Falcon Volleyball Holds Postseason Banquet

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Senior Taylor Twite took home two awards Sunday afternoon at the 2004 Bowling Green State University volleyball banquet. Twite earned Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year, voted on by her teammates.
Twite led the team with 372 kills and 3.76 kills per game. She also had a team-leading 855 attacks and a .296 hitting percentage. The Lapeer, Mich., native was named to the MAC Honorable Mention team and recorded double-figure kills in 22 of 29 matches on the season.
Sophomore Chrissy Gothke captured Falcon Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. She led the team with 366 digs and 3.42 digs per game. The Whitehouse, Ohio native recorded a career-high 31 digs in a 3-0 sweep over Akron. In her two seasons in the Brown and Orange she has 863 digs.
