McClung Sets New School Record At Campbell/Wright Open

AKRON, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team competed at the Campbell/Wright Open over the weekend where senior Kerri McClung established a new school record in the shot put with a throw of 52-08.25. This is the third time in her career that she has established a new school record in the shot put.
Her toss surpassed the previous record (50-08) by over two feet, which she established earlier this season. Her mark was also the second-best in the Mid-American Conference this season.
Sophomore Nicole Standback posted a personal-best in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.52, placing her second.
Senior Amber Walker finished third in the 400 meters with a time of 57.04.
In the jumps Veronica Vance had her best performance of the outdoor season. She finished third in the triple jump (38-00) and fourth in the long jump (18-02.50).
Up next for the Falcons are the MAC Championships, hosted by Ohio University in Athens, Ohio (May 12-14).
