BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - This Friday, the men's and women's cross country team will play host to rivals Toledo as they run their third annual 5K cross country dual.
After winning the dual last year, both the men's and women's team look to repeat. On the men's side, junior Rogers Kipchumba returns after winning last years dual. For the women, sophomore Jamie Roflow looks to defend her first place finish last year.
"I'm confident in both the men and the women. They've put in long hours both this summer and in pre-season workouts," said head coach Cami Wells.
Wells looks forward to seeing both her squads compete in Friday's competition.
The meet is slated to start at 5:00pm on the west side of Whittaker Track.
Fans interested in attending the races are encouraged to park in the overflow area of Lot 6. That parking area is adjacent to the starting line.
Directions: The best way to get to the course is to take I-75. Exit at the Bowling Green exit (Exit 181) and proceed west toward campus (toward the football stadium). Turn right at the first light, and then make a right on Stadium Drive (first right, just before the campus information booth). Take Stadium Drive to the track and park in Lot 6 overflow. The course begins at Whittaker track and ends at the Mel Brodt cross country course finish opposite from the stadium.
