"It's great for the program and the conference to be mentioned in the poll this week," said Head Coach Denise Van De Walle. "It's great to have two teams in the poll, even though we're in the 'others receiving votes' category. Maybe this will help turn some heads as to just how good the MAC really is."
Fellow Mid-American Conference member, Ohio University, can also be found in the polls, landing as the 21st ranked team in the nation.
The Falcons are currently riding a 12-match winning streak (school record) after securing a pair of sweeps inside Anderson Arena over the weekend. BGSU hit an all-time high .512 against Buffalo on Saturday, October 7th.
Statistically, Bowling Green is ranked nationally as well. The Falcons are ranked 9th in hitting percentage (.296), 18th in assists (15.17/game) and 17th in kills (16.54/game). Bowling Green's .889 winning percentage is the 9th highest in the nation.
