EAST LANSING, Mich. - A pair of Bowling Green State University tennis doubles teams competed in the ITA Midwest Region Championships Friday (Oct. 20) in East Lansing, Mich. The invitational is being hosted by Michigan State University.
Both Falcon teams were matched up against opponents from the University of Michigan in the first round. The duo of sophomore Stefanie Menoff and freshman Samantha Kintzel suffered an 8-2 loss to the Wolverines' Kuchn/Sugiyama team.
BGSU's other doubles team competing at the regional, the tandem of junior Jenna Nussbaum and sophomore Kelsey Jakupcin fell to the U-M team of Delicata/Exon by an 8-4 result.
In consolation-round play, the Kintzel/Menoff team lost to an Indiana duo, while Nussbaum and Jakupcin were defeated by a Wright State team.
