BGSU Volleyball team members Chelsey Meek and Elizabeth Simon visited with 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Kenwood Elementary on Tuesday afternoon. Meek and Simon, who grew up in Bowling Green and attended Kenwood and Conneaut Elementaries respectively, both played volleyball at Bowling Green High School prior to joining the squad at BGSU. The pair fielded questions on topics ranging from growing up in Bowling Green to life as a Divison-I Student-Athlete, and also promoted their upcoming weekend home matches geared towards local youth.
"You could see the kids were very receptive to hear from local student-athletes like Elizabeth and Chelsey," said BGSU Athletic Marketing Assistant Darin Ottaviani.
