Falcon Baseball Adds Another Signee, Inks Atkinson

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Head Coach Danny Schmitz and his coaching staff have announced the signing of a seventh player for the 2008 season. Kyle Atkinson from Colerain High School is a left-handed pitcher and first baseman that bats from the left-side of the plate as well. He is the son of Steve and Beverly Atkinson.

"We are excited to add Kyle to our recruiting class," said Assistant Coach Tod Brown. "Kyle comes from a great baseball town in Cincinnati and has established himself as one of the premier players in the city. He has tremendous ability on the mound and at the plate. He is a left-hander that throw lots of strikes and has an above average breaking ball. At the plate, Kyle is a disciplined hitter that possesses power from the left side. We are very happy that Kyle chose BGSU to continue his education and playing career."
