Recap | Final Stats | Notes
Why it was tough to get off to a good start offensively?
"It's something we have to work on. We work on offense everyday in practice and I think if we just keep playing good defense, the wins will start coming for us."
What sparked you guys to be able to come back today from behind?
"As a team we're never going to give up. We're going to come out and keep fighting every game and not go away. Eventually we're going to finish out and we'll take every positive we can possibly take from this."
On the success of Furman's backdoor plays
"They had a lot of sets and thought we went over them and guys were prepared, but sometimes we fell asleep. That was definitely a negative. We did play good defense, but we have to more ready for those types of plays."
Opening Statement
"We got beat by a team I think is really good. I thought coming in they were really experienced, they run their stuff well, they stay poised and at the end of the day they were able to beat us. They made their free throws when they needed to, they executed and we had our chances, obviously, but we weren't able to get it done."
On Furman's backdoor play
"They just do it constantly. You make a mistake and they backdoor you. They have veteran guards. The one kid, Webb, is really good with it. I watched him play against Clemson and he was as confident running it against them as he would be running it in the streets."
