Lewis Named MAC Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - Bowling Green State University sophomore Kenny Lewis has been named a MAC Player of the Week, the conference office has announced. Lewis earned the league's Special Teams P-O-W honor for the East Division.
Lewis, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa. (Penn Hills HS), blocked a pair of kicks in the Falcons' game vs. Miami on Wednesday (Nov. 15). Lewis blocked a RedHawk field-goal attempt as well as a point-after-touchdown try. He also had three tackles in the game.
The Falcons will head up I-75 to face the arch-rival University of Toledo in a Tuesday (Nov. 21) game, which will be televised by ESPN2. The battle for the Peace Pipe Award is set for a 7:00 p.m. start at the Glass Bowl.
