Cross Country and Track Inks Two

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Head coach Cami Wells has announced the signing of Courtney Krummert and Alexis Warren to Letters of National Intent. The two will join the Falcons next year for the 2007-2008 season.
Krummert, a native of Milford, Ohio, has been named GMC All-Academic for the past two seasons. She has broken three school records (800-meters, mile, 4x800-meter relay) and earned second team All-GMC during the 2006 cross country season. She qualified for the regional meet last track season. She currently attends Milford High School where she also plays volleyball and basketball. She is coached by Eric Kroell and holds personal bests of 2:18 for t he 800-meters and 5-18 for the 1,600-meters. She is the daughter of William and Stephanie Krummert. She plans to major in nutrition sciences or pre-med.
"Courtney is an excellent student and very gifted athlete," said coach Cami Wells. "Courtney has great potential in the middle distance area and will really solidify our middle distance squad. I was impressed with Courtney's athleticism and her warm personality."
Joining Krummert will be Warren a native Solon, Ohio and will graduate from Solon High School this spring. She holds personal bests in the long jump of 16-02.50 and in the high jump of 5-04.00. In running events she has run a 9.01 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles as well as a 14.60 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 12.7 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 26.2 seconds in the 200-meters, 58.0 seconds in the 400-meters and 2:45 in the 800-meters. She was the District champ in the 100-meter hurdles and placed second in 2005. She also finished fifth at the Regionals in the 100-meter hurdles and sixth in 2005. She has earned many other athletic accomplishments.
"Alexis has all the necessary skills to be a very strong multi-event athlete," said Wells. "Alexis is dedicated and has clear goals for her future. Alexis is a very valuable addition to our track and field squad."
