Three and Oh!
BGSU began the 2006 season with a bang, sweeping Murray State on the road. BGSU had to work overtime in the season-opening 8-7 victory, winning on a 10th-inning sacrifice fly by Senior Dash Yost.
Pitching was the story in game two, as the duo of Senior Tyler Saneholtz and Freshman Brian Hangbers combined for a complete game one-hitter. Junior Josh Stewart provided the only RBI the Falcons would need in the 1-0 triumph. Bowling Green capped off the series with a 14-0 pounding that included four RBI apiece by Yost and Sophomore Andrew Foster.
Spring Break Trip

Not Wasting Any Time
Getting an early lead has not been a problem for the Falcons this season. BGSU has recorded at least one run in the first inning of every game. The Brown and Orange have yet to trail in a game this season.
Senior Sluggers
Seniors Tyler Wasserman and Dash Yost have provided some pop to the Falcon lineup. Wasserman is batting .636 with two RBI and a .636 slugging percentage while Yost has racked up five RBI, a double and a .444 batting average.
Near No-Hitter
Senior Tyler Saneholtz and Freshman Brian Hangbers combined for a complete game one-hitter against Murray State on Feb. 25. The duo recorded four strikeouts while holding the opposition to a .045 (1-22) batting average. The Falcons needed all the pitching they could get in the 1-0, seven-inning victory.
Road Sweet Road?
Bowling Green may feel like a traveling circus by the time they play their first home game at Warren E. Steller Field this season, because they will be on the road for their first 17 games of the season. The Falcons will finally return home to on March 22 to take on the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland University.
Former Falcon Named Top 100 Prospect
Baseball America's 17th Annual Top 100 Major League Baseball Prospects List has named former Falcon Nolan Reimold as the #99 ranked prospect.
"He's got five plus tools and he has a little bit more ability to use them than maybe we knew. He was a good first-round talent that we got in the second round. We're fortunate--really fortunate." --Orioles scouting director Joe Jordan
Replacing a Pair of Big Bats
Bowling Green will need to replace the 30 home runs and 116 RBI that left with the departure of the MAC's top two sluggers last season, Andy Hudak and Nolan Reimold.
"When you lose guys like Reimold and Hudak it's going to be a community thing to replace some of those numbers, we don't expect one or two guys to do that," said Coach Danny Schmitz.
