Falcons Look To Conquer Tribe

Last Week Against the Golden Flashes
The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team scored its best team score on the season with a 190.550, however Kent State University was too much for the Falcons as their team total was 193.550. The Orange and Brown were again led by Senior Jessica Guyer who would take second on vault with a 9.725 and fifth on floor with a 9.750.
On the Bars the Falcons saw a different team show up as they had Ashlee deLeeuw stick a career best with a 9.650, and Jholeen Ponce break a season best scoring a 9.625. The team was led on bars by senior Jessica Bradley who finished fourth with a 9.675. Allison Swafford continues to improve on the vault scoring a 9.600 and finishing third. Junior Bethany Kenel who has been quiet the last few weeks showed up with force as she balanced her way to a first place finish on the beam with a 9.800.
Scouting the Tribe
Last week William and Mary scored a team score season high of 189.175 but fell short to Towson and Maryland. The team was solid on vault and was led by sophomore Stevie Waldman who compiled a career high 9.875. Freshman Monica Goldblatt paced the team on bars also marking a career best of 9.725 to place sixth. Sophomore Tricia Long added depth by finishing third in the all-around.
The Road Trip Ends
After five weeks on the road the team returns home to celebrate senior night on Friday March 17 inside the Eppler Gym. The Falcons will take to the mats against Eastern Michigan at 7:00 p.m. The following week the team will travel to Kalamazoo, Mich. where they will compete in the Mid American Conference championship. The contest is scheduled to be Saturday March 25 at 2:00 p.m.
