40th Annual Gina Relays Wraps Up For the Falcons

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - On a good weekend at the 40th Annual Gina Relays, many Falcons succeeding in their individual events.
Bridget Dalic ran a huge personal-best in the 10,000-meter run, crossing the line in ninth place with a time of 37:56.34.
Nicole Standback, in the 100-meter hurdles, ran close to her personal best, finishing third in a time of 14.19 seconds.
Jamie Roflow broke the school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase on her way to qualifying for NCAA Regionals. She finished third in a time of 10:27.36, shattering the school record by 10 seconds and her personal-best by 30 seconds. Kim Settle also ran a personal-best in the steeple, finishing second in a time of 11:13.45, which places her fourth on the all-time steeplechase list.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Lacey Cochran, Yemoja Marotta, Megan McAuley, and Lyndi Springer finished fourth and ran their fastest time in this year with a time of 3:54.78.
In the women's high jump, Erica Wilson tied for third at 5-05.00.
In the women's triple jump, Sharonda Alexander finished ninth with a jump of 35-10.00.
The shot put saw two Falcons finish in the top ten. Takara Dunning finished seconds with a throw of 47-05.25. Paris Bussey finished seventh with a throw of 44-00.75.
In the discus, Whitney Hartman finished sixth with a distance of 144-05.00. Lauren Bryant finished tenth with a toss of 133-09.
In the javelin throw, Alyson Lee finished ninth with a throw of 119-01.
The Falcons will travel to Toledo next weekend to compete in the Toledo Invitational.
