BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team has added five future student-athletes to the roster. David Borcherdt, Mark Galvin, Logan Meisler, Robbie Moffett and Richard O'Brien, Jr. will join the Falcon baseball team this season.
Borcherdt is a catcher from Archbold High School ... batted .508 for the Blue Streaks as a senior ... was a first team all-league member ... also played basketball, where his buzzer-beater inside BGSU's Anderson Arena sent his team to the state semifinals ... son of Bob and Judy Borcherdt.
Galvin is a shortstop/right-handed pitcher out of Pickerington High School ... named second team all-league and honorable mention all-district this past fall ... compiled a 3-2 record with a 2.26 ERA in 31 innings pitched while also batting .444 on the offensive side of the field ... also earned first team all-league honors in football ... son of James and Andrea Galvin.
Meisler is a middle infielder from Port Clinton High School ... named to the first team all-league and second team all-district squads while also being honored as an Academic All-Ohio player ... the three-sport star (also played football and basketball) batted .465 this past fall ... son of Chuck and Eileen Meisler.
Moffett is a 5'11" 190-pound third baseman out of Chelsea High School in Michigan ... throws right-handed and bats left-handed ... son of Bob and Brenda Moffett.
O'Brien is a right-handed pitcher out of Boardman High School ... tallied a 14-4 record on the mound ... member of the All-Federal League Team ... son of Richard and Susan O'Brien.
